There was an urgent requirement of a book on ‘forensic medicine & toxicology’, which would be helpful to the students appearing for their PG entrance examinations. The book under review, namely ‘Forensic Medicine-Nothing Beyond for PGMEE’ comes at an opportune moment. There are very few books available in the market catering specifically to FMT questions.

The question naturally arises - why another book on the subject, when there are many books already in the market. Probably the answer is that most existing books on FMT questions are difficult to understand. This causes untold misery to the students in the subject.

Dr. J Magendran is a big name in the field of forensic medicine. He is currently an associate professor of Forensic Medicine at the famed Saveetha Medical College, Chennai, and is a popular teacher in his college and beyond. He has given his expert opinion on several famous high profile cases. He has also done many literary works & has written several research papers in Indian journals and those published from outside India.

I have talked with the worthy author many times and discovered that he is a very intelligent teacher and author. He knows the current problems of PG aspirants. He has written this book keeping this fact in mind. That is why, I am very much pleased to see the publication of this book for PG aspirants. As the title says, PG students need nothing beyond this book.

I studied this book and found it very helpful as there are more than 1000 questions. There are many figures, diagrams and tables in the book, which make the book very worthy.

Overall I found the book useful for everyone appearing for PG entrance examinations. I heartily recommend it to them.
