In a unique and rare gesture, Professor M.R. Goyal and Dr. Sheetal Jain invited the Secretary and Treasurer of the IAFM (from 3-6 June, 2000) to have a look at the various venues where the conference would be held. All the programmes, venues and other details were finalized during this meeting. Below you can see the treasurer of the IAFM having dinner with Professor Goyal and Dr. Sheetal Jain at one of the dinner venues. Here you don't eat sitting on table and chair, but on the floor. This is the way food is taken in traditional India even today. This venue is known in the vernacular as Chokhi Dhani, which is difficult to translate in English, but its closest translation is A nice village. The whole place, spread in acres is in fact constructed like a traditional Rajasthani village, and is a sheer pleasure to visit. Our foreign delegates would be especially enamoured by this place. There are a number of other places where the delegates would be taken during the course of this conference.
