Investigative, Scientific & Anthropological Analysis Facility (INSAAF by Roma Khan)
[Shamshad (Roma) Khan is a highly motivated worker and a rapidly rising new star in the forensic field. She has been trained in the UK and this journal hosted her very original thesis on scavenging of an animal carcass in our last year's issue (Volume 7, Number 1, January - June 2006). Like all pioneers, she is much ahead of her times and has conceived a unique anthropological research facility in India, much on the lines of Bill Bass's Body Farm. The acronym of the site (INSAAF) appears quite appropriate - INSAAF is a Hindi term meaning justice! Roma hopes that forensic scientists would ultimately play a big role in the delivery of justice to all by knowledge and experience gained through this unique anthropological facility. This site explains all about her concept, including the rationale, aims & objectives and advantages of this project. So impressed has the editor-in-chief of this journal been with her concept, that he has already decided to donate his body to her body farm! If you want to know more about this unique concept, visit this site NOW. This has been voted the site of the semester by our Editorial board. Highly recommended.
