It is my pleasure to write a review of this textbook which is master piece in the field of Forensic Medicine. Second edition of Review of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology: Including Clinical & Pathological Aspects written by Dr.Gautam Biswas, Prof. and Head of Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab. The book is written in very simple and lucid language, making it easily understandable by the students of forensic medicine. It is one of the finest books available and coverage of all the topics relevant from the undergraduate student’s perspective makes it all the more their best choice. The way of presentation of the study material and clarity of subject matter is very nice. Line diagrams, flow charts, differentiations and tables make it favorite among students especially during examination hours.
...It is the only book that provides up-to-date MCQs along with answers put together from various P.G. entrance examinations (held all over India) at the end of all the chapters. This unique feature adds to the freshness and makes it the best over other books available in the subject. MCQs are not only helpful for the students preparing for professional examinations (currently asked in some university papers) but they also help the student prepare for the competitive entrance examinations in future. A plentiful subject index has made finding required information very easy. ...

In addition to the undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, the book is also very useful for medical officers, police personals, lawyers and judges working in the medico-legal field and involved in crime investigation.

It is a contemporary textbook with all the recent advances given at the required places. Leaving aside the Indian laws, the book will be very useful for all those who want to have a working knowledge in the field of forensic medicine.
Inclusion of MCQs at the end of every chapter with explanations in the text makes it useful for aspiring post graduates. Another feature worth mentioning is the ‘class of art’ Appendix listing ‘must know’ and ‘desirable to know’ areas...
