Web mystery Magazine by Rosalie Stafford (A highly informative web magazine by Rosalie Stafford of California. Has a number of articles related to criminology and forensic medicine. Highly recommended!)
Major Forensic Journals on the Internet
(Four years back, when I started this electronic journal, I predicted that in less than five years' time there will be lot more forensic journals on the internet. I am happy I have been vindicated. Several major forensic journals have come on the internet today. Click below to visit them.)
(An extremely innovative electronic journal on all aspects of forensic science being managed and run by Joey Harris of Shunderson Communications Inc. The journal publishes papers pertaining to some 25 areas of forensic science including Crime Scene Investigation; Criminalistics; Fingerprinting and Other Impression Evidence; Firearms and Toolmarks; Fires and Explosions; Forensic Engineering; Questioned Documents; Traffic Accidents; Computer Forensics; Behavioural Sciences and Forensic Profiling; Forensic Entomology; Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Chemistry; Forensic Toxicology; Blood Stains and Body Fluids, Forensic Education, Law and Ethics; Management and Quality Assurance; Clinical Forensic Medicine and Forensic Pathology; Forensic Serology; Forensic Geology, Evaluations and Statistics; Forensic DNA Typing; Forensic Odontology and Paternity.
Interestingly the papers are NOT peer-reviewed, because Joey thinks that all papers must see the light of the day. According to him, if a paper needs a bashing, let it be published first and then be bashed by all and sundry, rather than be denied publication on the opinion of just a couple of reviewers (sometimes just one), who may have quite a jaundiced view of the subject matter of the paper, its author, or even the nation he hails from. Medicolegal Update (by Prof. R.K.Sharma, AIIMS)
(A very useful electronic journal of forensic medicine and toxicology being managed and run by Professor R.K.Sharma of AIIMS. One of the best journals on forensic medicine on the net.)
Forensic Expert (by Dr Imran Sabri)
(A brilliant site created and maintained by Aligarh Muslim University, India. Prepared chiefly by Dr Imran Sabri, Mr. Furquan Sabri, S. Yusuf Kazim and Yousuf Anwar Sabri, but professional inputs also provided by the forensic faculty, especially Dr. Jawed Ahmad Usmani)
History of Criminal Identification (by Anil Aggrawal)
(Gives interesting historic cases involving identification such as the Tichborne and Bhowal Sanyasi cases)
ALAN DEAN FOSTER (Alan Dean Foster, the famous Science Fiction writer's page. Here he describes his meeting with the editor of this journal on 3 June 2003. It was fun meeting him with Dr. Puneet Setia, who is a junior resident in our department.)
Department of Medical Elementology & Toxicology, Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi 110 062, India
(The above link was sent to me by Dr. S. Raisuddin of Jamia Hamdard on November 29, 2003. He also sent me a list of publications of his department during the last five years. I must say, I was highly impressed by this list. If you have any interest in toxicology, you would enjoy the above link. You may also want to contact Dr. S. Raisuddin by clicking here. He would be most happy to interact with you. And just in case you want to look at this list, he would be too happy to send you the same.)
