AIDS: What the Discoverers of HIV Never Admitted - Is AIDS really caused by a virus

In this very short book the author raises an intriguing issue - is AIDS really caused by a virus? The author is an internist researcher. An article based on the book has been published in the medical journal Medical Hypothesis [Broxmeyer L (2003) Is AIDS really caused by a virus? Medical Hypotheses;60(5):671-688]. The ultimate goal of the author is to find the definite cure for AIDS.

The book is written in a popular way but the content is too complex to allow an easy reading unless you are familiar with the topic. There might be a risk that the public or media would overinterpret the information which could lead to misunderstanding.

The book is short but full of information regarding HIV, AIDS and the possible relationships between AIDS and mycobacteria and evidence for AIDS being not caused by a virus but by a strain of tuberculosis. In order to validate the data given it is necessary to be an expert in the field. The reference list is extensive, illustrating the complicated field. The hypothesis and results presented should be discussed in the scientific context and peer-reviewed and thus the forthcoming article will be of utmost interest.
