Parkinson's another look - a book written by internist researcher Lawrence Broxmeyer, M.D. makes an interesting reading. This 82-page book clearly demonstrates an association between Parkinson's and bacterial germs most likely of the family Actinomycetes either mycobacterial or a tuberculosis-like mycobacterial/nocardial cross, which fortunately is still susceptible to known and already approved anti-microbials. The book is well referenced, as is usually the case with the author's other writings. He has further published an article based on it in the prestigious journal Medical hypothesis, lending credence to his hypothesis.

The book provides a revealing perspective about Parkinson's disease which readers will find very useful especially since it presents a very compelling explanation as to the possible cause of this devastating disease.

If indeed the cause of this condition is bacteria then it will present an important avenue towards its cure. However, all we can say at present is that "Is Parkinson's disease caused by a bacteria?" Only time will tell.
