PThis 82-page book could have been reduced to fewer than 12 chapters, which it currently has. The author makes an interesting point, asserting that Parkinsonism is caused by Mycobacteria.

There might be some credibility to this theory. Interestingly it comes from a person with a professional background (the author is an MD). To prove his point, Broxmeyer, the author, gives extensive references from peer reviewed journals at the end of the book. He even has his own paper published in a reputed medical journal on this subject. Most of the literature cited is based on descriptive studies. While congratulating the author for stirring up a hornet's nest, I personally feel that there is a need for randomized control trials to prove cause-and-effect relationship.

This is just a hypothesis with no real clinical evidence that a microbe is the result of Parkinsonism. Unless more evidence is forthcoming soon, the book will merely be read as a curiosity. I am afraid it may not serve as a reference guide till that time.

The text has been well edited and proofread, and there are no printing and grammatical errors. In my opinion you can violently disagree with Broxmeyer, but you can't afford to ignore him.
