While reading the book one comes across evidence that proves the exploitation and slaughter of animals and human beings during the Holocaust. When glancing at the cover of the book and reading its title, one might think that the book just tells a story about the Second World War and there is nothing unusual about it.

Charles Patterson's work will be a wonderful reference for those who advocate animal rights and for environmentalists, as well as for historians who will
conduct research into what goes on in concentration camps and slaughterhouses.

However, looking through each page and each chapter the reader encounters the terrible things that goon in slaughterhouses and the merciless actions that the Nazis perpetrated against the Jews during the Holocaust.
The author throughout the book does a perfect and professional job of showing the similarity between the mistreatment of people and of animals. The book is the result of extensive research conducted by Charles Patterson into human oppression,violence, terrorism, slavery, genocide and the numerous other atrocities that the people persist in inflicting on each other. When reading the book you can't remain indifferent to the sufferings of those who endure mistreatment.
I think Charles Patterson's work will be a wonderful reference for those who advocate animal rights and for environmentalists, as well as for historians who will conduct research into what goes on in concentration camps and slaughterhouses.
For my own part, I would say that this book, which is written with great sensitivity, will no doubt be a valuable addition to everyone's collection. It will also be beneficial for animal rights activists.
